Christie graduated in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Administration of Justice, with a minor in Organizational Leadership.

A lifelong resident of Nogales, Christie currently is employed by the Santa Cruz County Provisional Community College District. As the Community & Outreach Coordinator for the Provisional District, Christie works closely with community members and organizations.

In reflecting on her journey at the University of Arizona Nogales, Christie writes the following: “God doesn't give you more than what you can handle. This quote is very significant to me, because every time I felt at my lowest point, I picked myself up, telling myself I am stronger than this. Being a full-time student and worker was a big challenge, but I knew I had come this far for a reason and that I needed to push myself to the limit. In the end, the struggle was worth it as I reached my ultimate goal!"

Christie is passionate about helping her community, and working hard to provide more educational opportunities for Santa Cruz County residents.
