As a recently naturalized citizen, military wife and first-generation college student, my academic career was something that I knew I needed to be fully committed to before I could begin.

I came to the University of Arizona as a transfer student from Cochise College. My experience at Sierra Vista has been highly beneficial due to the smaller class sizes, personal interaction with the professors and rigorous academic content. Now that I am nearing the end of my undergraduate studies, I realize that the education I have received at this institution has inspired me to not only further my academic career but also to emulate the professors with whom I have had the privilege to work with. My time here has allowed me to learn from stellar professors, including Dr. Reddy whose passion for literature has ignited in me a curiosity and hunger for English Literature. I am confident that my experience here at Sierra Vista has prepared me well for the next step in my academic journey and career.
