Janelle Sanchez

I chose to enroll with the University of Arizona at Pima Community College for the convenience, the financial stability, and because I knew that all I wanted to do was get a great education.
I was not into partying, football games or the crowds. This was a great option that worked with my life and would allow me to obtain a career I will love. I chose the degree Government and Public Service with a minor in Human Services because it combined my passion for aiding people and interaction between society and the government. It sounds cheesy, but I do enjoy the correlation between the two. I was not for going to a big university because you have to stand out and compete with 800 other students. That was not for me and this has been a really good alternative. I love that the University of Arizona at Pima Community College has helped me with scholarships, loaned me a laptop to get homework done and they have given me amazing opportunities like going to the HACU Adelante! conference in Chicago.
Going to school is something that was always important to me, so graduating with a degree that I love in May 2020 was very exciting to me. The University of Arizona at Pima Community College has been a great experience. Thank you!
